"F.l.N.D" The Crucible

"The Crucible" is a play the was written in the time of the red scare. While learning about "The Crucible," I felt very sad because in the story there are people who died when they were innocent.  The play is very ironic because the play takes place in a Puritan community where they have a lot of rules and one of them is to not lie however in the story if you are speaking the truth that you are not a witch then you get hung. If you lie that you are a witch your life isn't taken away but your name and your reputation will be bad.  A new idea that I learned from "The Crucible" was false confessions and scapegoating. I also learned how people can be really manipulative like Abigail. She accused many people by just saying there names. I personal that I will make based on my reading and understanding is stereotyping.

October Reflection

In terms of reaching my academic goals this year I am doing well I have participated more in class and have reduced my miles time by 30 seconds. I am not good at reading my book I am in page 50 so I took an A.R. quiz on a book I read previously that is why I got a very low score. Some strengths that I see in myself is that I am better at citing evidence and analysing. Some weaknesses are language and reading (I read very slow) As I writer I feel that I have improved so much by doing “ The Crucible” essay I am getting better in my analysis. For me speaking up is challenge I don’t like to talk in front of the class but if I am called on I try to speak up. I want to work on getting better in my language using better words for my essay because I noticed that a lot of the words that Ms. Park said to immediately erase were on my essay.
Freedom QUICKWRITE
Freedom can impact in a positive way because no one forces you to do something, however it can also impact in a negative way. Since the people can do what they please it includes harming other people intentionally or unintentionally, Harming as in physically or even mentally. In my opinion freedom comes with conflict.. In other words if you have two major groups on the same side one side will have more power than the other side. There need to be some sort of rivalry among them They are complete opposites, however together they make each other work since one check one the other so the power is balanced. An example of freedom and conflict is the branches in the United States. Among the branches there must be a little bit of conflict in order for them flow smoothly.
